- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Teriyaki Sauce:
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- â…“ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
- ½ tsp black pepper
Additional:
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp cold water (for slurry)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Sear the Beef: In a large skillet, sear beef tips in oil until browned.
- Prepare Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and pepper. Pour over beef.
- Cook: Simmer beef covered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Thicken Sauce: Mix cornstarch with cold water, add to skillet, and simmer until thickened.
- Finish: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

- Serve over rice, noodles, or vegetables.
- For more flavor, marinate beef in sauce for 1–2 hours.
