For the Hand Pies:
- 1 refrigerated pie crust or 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni
- 1/4 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped black olives
- 2 tablespoons diced red onion
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Optional: grated Parmesan and crushed red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pie crust and cut into 6–8 even circles or rectangles.
- Mix together pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, bell pepper, olives, red onion, and Italian seasoning.
- Spoon filling onto half of each dough piece, fold over, and press edges to seal.
- Place hand pies on baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with Parmesan and red pepper flakes.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
