Ingredients
Scale
Tortillas:
- 4 8-inch flour tortillas
Cream Cheese Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Strawberry Layer:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
Additional:
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, extra strawberries, chocolate drizzle
Instructions
- Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble Quesadillas: Spread a thick layer of the cream cheese mixture over half of each tortilla. Layer sliced strawberries evenly over the cream cheese, then fold the tortillas in half to close.
- Cook Quesadillas: Heat the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the folded quesadillas in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Sprinkle with granulated sugar while still warm.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before slicing into wedges. Serve with optional toppings like whipped cream, extra strawberries, or chocolate drizzle.
Notes
- For added crunch, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs inside before folding.
- You can also use a fruit compote instead of fresh strawberries for a jammy filling.
