  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mix sugar, oil, and eggs. Add pumpkin, water, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Combine dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add dry mix to wet mix, stirring until just combined.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into pan, smooth the top, and bake for 55–65 minutes.
  6. Cool and serve: Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
