Description

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup raisins or currants (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar (if using). Add raisins or currants if desired.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
