- 2 teaspoons chili powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the nacho cheese sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded American cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven and bake fries: Preheat oven and bake fries according to package directions until golden and crispy.
- Season the fries: Combine chili powder, smoked paprika, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Toss the cooked fries in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
- Make the cheese sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually whisk in milk until slightly thickened. Reduce heat, stir in cheeses, chili powder, smoked paprika, and salt until melted and creamy.
- Serve: Serve seasoned fries hot with nacho cheese sauce for dipping or drizzling.
Notes
- For an authentic Taco Bell flavor, use a mix of mild cheddar and processed American cheese in the sauce.
- You can also air-fry the fries for extra crispiness.
