Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Chill the dough for 15–20 minutes if needed.
  3. Shape the Cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and shape each into a heart. Place hearts on baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake: Bake for 9–11 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Optionally, drizzle with melted chocolate.
