For the Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
For the Stir-Fry:
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth or water
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For Serving:
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Combine the sliced chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Stir-Fry the Chicken: Sear marinated chicken in oil until golden. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables: Sauté garlic, then add bell peppers and stir-fry until tender.
- Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the pan, add broth, and heat through. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or sesame oil before serving.
- You can use chicken thighs or tofu as a substitution.
