Frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons milk (as needed for frosting consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Combine warm milk and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour. Knead until smooth. Let rest for 20 minutes.
  2. Assemble the Rolls: Roll out the dough, spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, roll up dough, and cut into rolls. Place in a baking dish.
  3. Bake: Let the rolls rise, then bake at 375°F for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Make the Frosting: Beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  5. Frost the Rolls: Frost the warm rolls with the cream cheese mixture.
