- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 to 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
For Brushing:
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy. Add butter, egg, salt, and mix. Gradually add flour, knead until smooth.
- Rise: Place dough in greased bowl, let rise for 1 hour. Divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls, place in baking dish.
- Second Rise: Cover and let rise for 30–40 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter.
