- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara or spaghetti sauce

- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

- Cook the spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- Prepare the filling: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef or sausage and cook until browned. Add diced onion and cook until softened, then stir in garlic. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine ingredients: Remove from heat and stir in cooked spaghetti, ricotta or cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Fill the bread bowl: Fill the bread bowl with the spaghetti mixture and sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
- Bake: Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, and bread is crisp.
- Serve: Let it sit for 5 minutes, garnish with basil or parsley, slice into wedges, and serve warm.
