Crab Mixture:
- 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Additional Ingredients:
- 4 slices sourdough or French bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler: Set the broiler to high.
- Prepare the crab mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, green onions, and half of the shredded cheeses. Mix gently.
- Assemble the toasts: Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place them butter-side down on a baking sheet. Divide the crab mixture over the bread slices and top with the remaining cheese.
- Broil: Broil for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the bread edges are golden.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve hot with lemon wedges.
