Description

Crab Mixture:

  • 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 slices sourdough or French bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler: Set the broiler to high.
  2. Prepare the crab mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, green onions, and half of the shredded cheeses. Mix gently.
  3. Assemble the toasts: Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place them butter-side down on a baking sheet. Divide the crab mixture over the bread slices and top with the remaining cheese.
  4. Broil: Broil for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the bread edges are golden.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve hot with lemon wedges.
