Instructions
- Rinse the Dandelion Petals: Thoroughly clean the dandelion petals, ensuring no green parts remain.
- Combine Petals and Water: In a saucepan, mix petals and water. Boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
- Let Steep: Remove from heat, cover, and steep for 2–3 hours or overnight.
- Strain the Liquid: Press and strain the liquid through a sieve or cheesecloth.
- Add Sugar and Lemon Juice: Return the liquid to the saucepan, add sugar and lemon juice. Simmer until thickened.
- Finish and Store: Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, if desired. Cool and store in a sterilized jar.
