Description

Cumin Lamb Noodles is a flavorful Middle Eastern-inspired dish featuring spiced ground lamb served with egg noodles in a savory sauce. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Egg Noodles:

  • 12 ounces egg noodles or your favorite pasta

Ground Lamb Mixture:

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Egg Noodles: Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Onions: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Season and Cook Lamb: Stir in garlic, ground cumin, coriander, and chili flakes; cook for 1 minute. Add ground lamb, cook until browned.
  4. Simmer Sauce: Stir in tomato paste and soy sauce. Pour in broth, simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine Noodles and Lamb: Toss cooked noodles into the skillet, mixing well with the lamb sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions and fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust chili flakes to control spiciness.
  • You can add diced bell peppers or tomatoes for extra texture.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of steamed greens or a fresh salad.
