- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce and Seasonings:
- 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 8 oz angel hair pasta, broken in half
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 7–8 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Drain any excess grease.
- Prepare the Slow Cooker: Transfer the beef mixture to a greased slow cooker. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
- Add the Pasta: During the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in the broken angel hair pasta. Make sure the pasta is submerged in the sauce. Cover and continue to cook until pasta is tender, about 25–30 minutes. Stir once halfway through to prevent sticking.
- Finish with Cheese: Once pasta is cooked, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- You can swap angel hair pasta for thin spaghetti, but add a little extra cooking time.
- Add chopped mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for a veggie boost.
