Filling:
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup finely chopped shrimp (optional)
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Additional:
- 1 package wonton wrappers (about 40)
- small bowl of water (for sealing)
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Assemble Wontons: Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the filling onto a wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold over to form a triangle, and seal. Optionally, bring the bottom corners together and seal to create classic wonton shape. Repeat.
- Fry Wontons: Heat vegetable oil, fry wontons in batches until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with dipping sauces of your choice.

- For a vegetarian version, substitute pork with finely chopped mushrooms, cabbage, and carrots.
