Ingredients
Scale
Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup pickles, finely chopped (optional)
Additional Ingredients:
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Dipping sauce of choice (ketchup, burger sauce, or ranch)
Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Season: Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Fill Egg Roll Wrappers: Mix in shredded cheese and pickles if using. Spoon beef mixture onto each egg roll wrapper and fold into rolls.
- Fry: Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry egg rolls until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per batch.
- Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a lighter option, brush egg rolls with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway, or cook in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
