  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)

  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère cheese
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a skillet, cook diced chicken in olive oil or butter until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. Sauté aromatics: In the same pan, sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms with salt, pepper, and thyme until tender.
  4. Thicken the sauce: Sprinkle flour over the mixture, then add chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir until thickened.
  5. Combine and fill: Mix in cooked chicken and cheese. Let filling cool slightly.
  6. Assemble pastries: Roll out puff pastry, cut into squares, add filling, fold, and seal. Brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.
