Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup Bisquick or other baking mix
- Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, sesame seeds, chopped lettuce for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, ketchup, and mustard. Spread the mixture evenly into the pie dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the beef mixture.
- In a small bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and Bisquick until smooth. Pour evenly over the cheese and beef layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and the center is set. Let cool slightly before slicing.
- Top with pickles, chopped lettuce, tomatoes, or sesame seeds if desired before serving.
