For the Nut Mixture:
- 1 package mini phyllo shells (about 15 shells)
- 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup almonds, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the Honey Syrup:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
For Garnish:
- Extra chopped pistachios
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the mini phyllo shells on a baking sheet.
- Prepare Nut Mixture: In a bowl, mix walnuts, pistachios, almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Fill each phyllo shell with about 1 tablespoon of the nut mixture.
- Bake: Bake for 10 minutes until nuts are toasted and shells are golden.
- Make Honey Syrup: In a saucepan, combine honey, water, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Drizzle and Garnish: Drizzle warm honey syrup over the baked bites and garnish with chopped pistachios. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can prepare the nut mixture ahead of time and assemble just before baking.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
