- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
Optional:
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a skillet, sauté onion in olive oil until softened. Add garlic, then ground meat and cook until browned. Add spices, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Simmer until thickened.
- Combine and Serve: Add cooked pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, and heat through. Stir in parsley or cilantro. Serve hot, topped with plain yogurt if desired.
